Frugal cooker: mini cooker from Lidl

This is not a plug for Lidl, but if you are a regular Lidl shopper and have used their electrical products before this is a great bargain.

If you are trying to cook up a frugal lifestyle, this mini cooker is the thing for you. It helps with portion control and energy efficiency and though it seems small you can still pack a lot in. I have had one for years, since I first started living in some grotty student accommodation with appalling ovens - I carted my mini oven from one place to another. £30 is an investment

A nice relaxing bath

There is something very luxurious about a bath full of steaming hot water, an hour to yourself and a good book.
I have never been able to enjoy a bath. I think I feel too guilty about using all that hot water! Instead I go for a frugal relaxing bath. A foot bath.

All you need is a basin, some essential oil of your choice, a little baking powder and some epson salts. I keep a kettle with some warm water to top up and some some heal balm for after.

The final ingredient is up to you - last night I decided on a good read

Lazy if frugal radio fix

My car radio died - well to be honest is has been dead for a long time. I am used to it and bring my ipod with me, which is fine unless you are not alone in the car. I have asked a few mechanics about fixing the radio but very few work with radios any more.  I can't afford to replace the radio, but my brother came up with a very quick fix for me.

This tiny little speaker is USB rechargeable and will connect to anything with a standard audio jack.  It may be small but it actually packs quite the audio kick and the fact that it is rechargeable is brilliant!

This little speaker was less than £3 on ebay. It took a while to arrive, but it was worth it
